Hope in Hard Times
So much of the current socio-political context is challenging and distressing, so knowing what we hold dear in heart and mind is more important than ever; it sets the stage for the belief that what we do matters. “Hope” reflects our core values and sense of the future we want, and we nurture it by consciously choosing actions that move us toward what we long for. In this workshop, we will explore our individual relationships with the different kinds of hope and how we nurture it through mindfulness practices and group discussion/learning from one another. We will also explore self-care strategies as a way of staying strong enough to stay engaged without becoming overwhelmed or exhausted.
