Class description

The workshop will explore the growing danger of nuclear war, including regional hot spots where war could start, and other factors which are increasing the likelihood that these weapons will be used. It will examine the actual consequences that will result from the use of nuclear weapons. The workshop will also discuss the urgent need for the U.S. to change its current policy, which is based on the commitment of all nine nuclear armed states to maintain and upgrade their nuclear arsenal. It will discuss how to help build the growing “Back from the Brink” campaign to move U.S. nuclear policy to the active pursuit of a world free of nuclear weapons.
