Class description

This workshop will begin with a discussion of contemporary examples of allies in action. We will then explore the important and tangible work white allies can do to support communities of color, and how heterosexual allies can work with LGBTQ communities and effect change. Allies, in personal and political action, contribute in significant ways to the advancement of equity and justice. You may have experiences to share or you may be curious about what you can do. We will learn and engage with hopeful hearts and open minds. And we will have fun along the way too.

Cultural Competence Trainer, Social Justice and Health Care Educator.
