Class description

Participatory Decision-Making is an experientially based workshop that will assist participants in deciding when and how to use a participatory approach to creating sustainable solutions to problems. This workshop will present and work through the steps of the Participatory Model of Decision-Making designed by Sam Kaner and incorporating the values of full participation, mutual understanding, inclusive decisions, and shared responsibility. It will offer an opportunity not only to increase awareness of the skills involved in facilitating participatory decisions but also to raise awareness of how often our own lack of full engagement through difficult phases of the process results in unsustainable decisions.
