David Ragland
Dr. David Ragland is a writer, scholar, and activist. He is one of the co-founders of the Truth Telling Project and the Director of the Grassroots Reparations Campaign. David is also the Reparations Director at Jubilee Justice Journeys and a founding member of Kibilio Community and Farms Collective, a Queer Black-led Intentional Community focused on healing and reparations. David recently published an article on Truth-Telling and Decoloniality in the International Journal of Human Rights Education as well as a series on reparations in Yes Magazine. He currently teaches Reparations as a Spiritual Practice at Harvard Divinity School. Georgetown University’s Advocacy lab included Dr. Ragland’s research as part of the “most important research on advocacy” in the last 40 years. David was recently inducted into the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Collegium of Scholars at Morehouse College. David has served as the Senior Bayard Rustin Fellow at the Fellowship of Reconciliation, board member for the Peace and Justice Studies Association, and the UN representative for the International Peace Research Association. He has taught at Bucknell University, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and Juniata College. David lectures internationlly on Ferguson, Black Lives Matter, Truth Telling, and Reparations.
